Sellers, this guide is for you!

You can put any of your game products for sale (no adult or counterfeit items) in Da Planet's virtual Rent-A-Shelf, and in-store display space will be awarded to the top sellers!

    


IMPORTANT
:

1. YOU MUST HAVE A VERIFIED ACCOUNT AT DA PLANET BEFORE SELLING ANYTHING THROUGH THE RENT-A-SHELF SYSTEM. ACCOUNTS ARE FREE, BUT REQUIRE A VALID, GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PHOTO IDENTIFICATION (driver's license/permit, state ID).**

2. YOU MUST PRESENT A VALID PHOTO ID WHEN REGISTERING AS A SELLER, ALTERING THE CONTENTS OF YOUR STOCK, PICKING UP ANY MONEY FROM YOUR SHELF SALES, AND/OR WHEN CLOSING OUT YOUR SHELF SPACE. 

3. DA PLANET STAFF WILL ASSIST YOU WHEN ADDING TO OR REMOVING CARDS FROM YOUR SHELF IN STORE. AT NO TIME WILL YOU BE ALLOWED BEHIND THE COUNTER. BE AWARE THAT IN-STORE TRAFFIC AND EVENTS MAY LIMIT THE TIME THAT STAFF WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOU WITH YOUR STOCK.

4. DA-PLANET STAFF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AND/OR REMOVE ITEMS IT DEEMS UNFIT FOR SALE AT DA PLANET AT ITS OWN DISCRETION FROM ANY SHELF AT ANY TIME.*



Here's how to sell your items!

1. Log-in to Da Planet's home page, then click on the Rent-A-Shelf button on the top of the page.

2. List your item. To list a new item, first click on the VIEW SHELF link on the top of the page. Then click the ADD button. This will bring you to the listing page. 

Before you proceed, be aware that there are some restrictions on what you can sell:

  A. You cannot sell counterfeit or adult items through this system. 

  B. Your cards should be in a MAX 4 Pocket album/portfolio (which you must provide), in which each pocket may hold 2 cards total (front and back). This limits each seller to a maximum of 112 cards at any given time. If cards from more than one game are included, the binder should be organized by game (all YuGiOh cards in one section, all Magic cards in another, etc.).

  C. Each seller is limited to 6 non-single-card items (tins, packs, sets, etc.).

  To automatically create an item, type the name or part of the name of the item into the search box on the right. Select the item matching what you wish to sell by clicking on it. This will automatically fill the item description. The price shown will be Da Planet's current price.

3. Set your price to what you would like to sell the item for. The following applies to setting your price:

  A. Do not use the $ symbol
  B. Ignore tax - if you want to sell a card for $2.25, enter "2.25" in the price field.
  C. Do not use a price that ends with a number other than 0 or 5 (no pennies).

  If your item does not appear in the search, you can enter your own description for the item. Be sure to use a description which will allow people to find your item easily.

  You may enter notes for the item to specify a damaged condition, 1st edition, or anything else the buyer will need to know.

  You may choose to take offers on your item. This is similar to bidding on Ebay, but is a bit different. To learn more about the offer system, click here.

4. Submit your listing when your item is ready. This will create your listing in our Rent-A-Shelf system. However, this item will NOT be immediately visible to online buyers. You will need to bring those cards in to Da Planet before they will be approved for sale.

5. Bring in your products to Da-Planet store in Honolulu to be checked in. We're located at 2615 S. King St. #313 - Honolulu, HI  96826. We will keep all listed items in the store. After they are approved, your items will be displayed in Da Planet's virtual Rent-A-Shelf online. Other users may view your items online and choose to buy them through the virtual shelf. Da Planet's staff will assist customers who wish to buy your items in the store.

Items bought through this system are sold as-is (no refunds or exchanges) and must be paid for in cash (no exceptions).

5. Monitor and manage your seller account online. You can view which items have sold and how much money you have made through the system at any time. You can add items to your space any time, up to the maximum allowed 112 card + 6 other item limit. Remember that items you submit won't be displayed for sale until you bring them to Da Planet to be approved. If you need to alter an item's price, description, or whether or not you are accepting offers on that item, you may do so online also.

6. Collect your money on or after the 1st of each month. On the last day of the month, the money taken in for each seller from the previous month will be set aside. Sellers can pick up their money on or after the 1st of the month following by coming to Da Planet with a valid, government issued photo ID.** Sellers will NOT be able to withdraw money from their sales anytime before the end of the month, unless they are closing out their Rent-A-Shelf.

7. You can close out your shelf items at any time by coming to Da Planet with a valid, government-issued photo ID.* If you do so, you will get all of your money (minus any applicable fees/percentages) and all of your unsold items. If you do not close out your shelf, your cards will continue to be listed and sold - there is no set monthly fee.

Selling Fees:
Fees are deducted from the total sales for each seller on the last day of the month. There are two fees - a listing fee and a percentage of total sales.

A. Listing an item costs $0.01. You will only be charged this fee once and only for items that are approved for sale.

B. Da Planet will assess a percentage of each seller's total sales as a fee. Right now, Da Planet is offering a very low introductory special of 5%!

For example, if a seller lists 10 items, and in one month five of them sell for $1 each, then at the end of the month, that seller's account will have a total of $5 in sales. Taking out 5% of this leaves $4.75. Listing ten items costs $0.10. So the seller would receive $4.65.

Removing Items:
If you want to remove items from your shelf, you will need to ask a staff member to take the cards out of your portfolio/album and take them out of the system. 

Derelict Items:
Items which don't sell AND don't have their price reduced by the seller for two months will have their sale prices reduced 50% automatically. Items whose sale price goes below $0.01 in this way will be removed from the shelf and disposed of as Da Planet sees fit.

Unclaimed Monies:
If a seller does not come in to claim their money within two months after it is set aside at the end of the month, the money will be sent via PayPal to that user's seller's on-file email address.

Seller Rewards:
The Top 4 sellers in two different sales categories each month will be awarded in-store display space at no charge during the following month! The two categories are:

A. Most Items Sold
B. Highest Total Sales

Larger shelf space will be awarded to the top 2 on each category, and smaller space will be awarded to those ranking 3rd and 4th. If a seller places in both categories, he/she will earn the larger of the two shelf-space awards. One of the larger spaces might look like this:
